Rural Mexico Research Review
Editor: Peri L. Fletcher
Rural Mexico Research Review examines research on selected topics pertinent to social science research on rural Mexico. Each issue consists of an overview of the current research topic followed by summaries of selected key articles and books. The goal of Rural Mexico Research Review is to provide researchers and students with a basic understanding of the research topic and its ramifications for carrying out social science research on rural Mexico, together with a grounding in the existing literature on the topic, through a review of selected works from various social science disciplines.
Rural Mexico Research Review is produced by the Programa de Estudios del
Cambio Económico y la Sustentabilidad del Agro Mexicano (Program for the Study
of Economic Change and Sustainability in Mexican Agriculture; PRECESAM), housed
at the Center for Economic Studies at El Colegio de Mexico and administered
jointly with the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics and the
Institute on Governmental Affairs at the University of California, Davis. We are
indebted to the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation and the Ford
Foundation
for supporting PRECESAM, including the publication of Rural Mexico Research
Review.
